Humance Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Humance handles information when you use the Humance app, visit our website, apply for early access, or contact us.

Planetary Intelligence has a separate data-sharing choice in the app. You can browse the planet and projects without enabling AI data sharing.

If your installed version does not show AI data sharing or account deletion controls, contact info@humance.io for help or a data request.

• Account and profile information. Your name, email address or phone number, sign-in information, and profile details you choose to provide, such as a username, photo, location, biography or interests.
• Project and story activity. Projects you follow or join, your financial participation and transaction references, and the stories you watch, including playback duration and completion.
• Conversations with Planetary Intelligence. Your messages, responses, conversation history, and context such as interests and project discussions that support continuity between conversations.
• App diagnostics and usage. App and operating-system versions, device model, installation and session identifiers, feature interactions, timing and error information. Events can be associated with your account when you are signed in.
• Notifications and location. A device notification token if you enable push notifications. The app can use an approximate location from your IP address to position your home marker on the planet. If you have granted device-location permission, it can use that location for the marker.
• Early access applications. Contact details, country and city, professional or organization details, participation interests, referral information, and the responses or materials you submit.
• Website and support information. Pages visited, referring pages and campaign information, browser and technical details, IP address, and the information you include in a support request.

We use information to provide your account and project experience, keep your activity in sync, maintain conversations with Planetary Intelligence, process transactions where available, deliver requested communications, respond to support requests, and evaluate early access applications.

We also use usage and diagnostic information to understand how Humance is used, measure performance, troubleshoot problems, and protect accounts and services from misuse.

When you choose to sign in to Humance with a phone number, we use your number for one purpose only: sending you a one-time verification code by SMS so you can access your account. You provide this consent yourself, at the moment you enter your phone number on the sign-in screen.

• Messages are limited to sign-in verification codes that you request. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
• Message frequency varies with how often you sign in. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier.
• You can reply HELP to any message for assistance, or STOP to opt out of text messages. If you opt out, you can still sign in by email.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery provider solely to send you the codes you request.

Before you enable AI data sharing, the app explains that your messages and relevant account and project context are sent to OpenAI to generate answers. This context can include conversation history, profile information, interests and your relationship with projects. Reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to create the voice.

Humance stores conversation history and account context to support future conversations. Information you include in messages may also appear in the generated reply that is sent for voice generation.

You can choose Not now and continue browsing. To change your choice later, open your profile menu, select AI data sharing, then Turn off AI data sharing. This stops new AI requests from that app account on that device. It does not delete conversations or information already sent. Contact us about deletion requests involving previously processed data.

Service providers process information to deliver hosting, storage, authentication, email and SMS, payments, notifications, analytics, AI responses and voice. The information they receive depends on the service you use. For example, OpenAI processes AI requests, ElevenLabs processes reply text for voice, and ipapi.co receives an IP-based location lookup from the app.

Our website records page visits and performance information through Humance's own analytics and Vercel. Depending on region and configuration, it also uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for traffic measurement and interaction analysis, including session replay. These website tools can use cookies or similar browser technologies. Your browser settings can control cookies.

Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where Humance's service providers operate.

You can request account deletion in the app through your profile menu by selecting Delete account and confirming. You can also contact us if you cannot access your account or need help with a data request.

Account deletion closes the account, revokes its sessions, clears profile and sign-in information, and removes account-linked AI history, context, app activity records and personal story-viewing records from the active account systems. Aggregate story counts remain.

Financial participation and ledger records remain, along with a deactivated account record needed to preserve their references. Some other records, such as organizational, operational and audit records, can also remain. Account deletion does not automatically erase every copy held in backups or by external providers. Contact us about the scope of a deletion request.

We retain information to operate Humance and maintain required records. Retention depends on the type of data and the purpose for keeping it. Turning off AI data sharing or removing the app from your phone does not close your account.

You can change the profile information supported by the app, manage AI data sharing in your profile menu, and manage notification and location permissions in your device settings.

To ask for access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to raise another privacy concern, email info@humance.io. We may need information to verify that a request relates to your account. The rights available to you depend on where you live and the information involved.

We may update this policy as Humance changes. The date at the top identifies the latest update. The app presents its AI data-sharing disclosure separately when asking for your choice.
